A Cat Tale
This tale began in 2002, when Whiskers adopted East School as his second home. He moved to Marion with his family in 2006, and we still miss him.
Mr. Courtad says they are lining up at the door for the next "Kittygarten" class at East already. This prospect is a little rough around the edges, but appears to have lots of potential.
"When does school start?"
"Let's talk..."
"Now, these are the rules..."
"This is the Book Fair, not the first day of 'Kittygarten."
"Go on now, we'll see you this fall."
"I'll be back."

2003

"Is school ready to start Mr. Courtad?"

"I told you I would be back."
"Yes, my registration is in the mail."
"Well it's about time you let me in."

"This is going to be great. I am going to love Kittygarten."

What do you mean I need shots? Good Bye!!

Looks like there's a

new cat in town.

2004

" I like walking to school with my sisters and brothers."

"Let me in!"
"OK, what do I do now?"
"Hi Mr. Courtad, remember me?"
"Now that I'm here...what would you think about a new mascot?"

2005

"I hope this is the picture they use in the yearbook, I spent all morning getting my fur brushed."

"I love doing projects in school and getting them put up in the hall."
"Yes, Mr. Courtad, now I read the paper before putting it in the litter box. I have learned so much at East."
"Speaking of litter boxes, would you please excuse me for a minute?"
"That's better... well, I better get back to class. Have a good day!"
We recently learned that our beloved Whiskers went to mascot heaven in the sky. Now he walks the halls in our memories.
