State Testing
The Ohio Department of Education has developed a set of standards for each grade level to achieve to keep our children on track during their progress through Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
Diagnostic Tests in the primary grades give teachers insight to strong and weak areas to be addressed during daily instruction.
Achievement Tests in the intermediate grades check each students' needs for intervention.
Every district and building in the state receive a report card indicating areas to be improved or maintained.

East Elementary received a rating of EXCELLENT in 2003-2004; the only elementary building in Wyandot County to do so, and one of the 920 out of 3,384 in the State of Ohio to receive the highest rating. Also in 2007 and 2008.
